The Redington Ranch is a nearly 15,000-acre winter range ranch that was purchased in the 1970s to expand the cattle operations of William Hewlett and David Packard, the founders of Hewlett Packard Corporation. The partners recognized that the rolling green hills in the winter months and numerous creeks and ponds provided an excellent location for cattle ranching and a beautiful family retreat.
