Los Gatos Real Estate

Spanish for “the cats”, Los Gatos was named for the cougars and bobcats once native to the foothills of the town.  While it’s less common to see a mountain lion walking down Main Street these days, Los Gatos still offers that “close to nature” feel without being too remote.  The neighborhood features a well preserved historic district with Victorian and Spanish Revival architecture, and access to the Los Gatos Creek Trail system for bikers, hikers, and joggers.  Residents love Vasona County Park. At 151 acres, it’s not your average playground– offering summer boating fun, the Billy Jones Wildcat Railroad, and activities for the whole family to enjoy.  Downtown offers an upscale dining experience with numerous critically acclaimed restaurants, blending contemporary cuisine with historical and cultural influences. Los Gatos has excellent elementary schools, as well as a middle school and high school, and for summer fun, it’s just a short drive down scenic Highway 17 to the beach!
